Lazy Saturday

Cold day in the city today, mostly spent inside playing around. Couple pics of the funny little boy who spent an hour playing with this box, and another slapping his belly. He is getting tooth #6 so he is a drooling machine.

Up Before the Sun

My otherwise perfect child is back to his wake-up-before-the-sun antics. We've been pretty consistently on this 5am call time for about a month - as usual, I remained in denial for too long, hoping it was a phase.

And he is getting a few new teeth, which I blame for everything, so maybe they are the cause. I've also started working on pushing our bed time back a little. If he had his way, he'd still be sound asleep by 6pm. But we've pushed all the nap times back a little and it has helped quite a bit. Most days we have been able to eek out 7pm which is really great - especially now that it is getting nicer.

Lately I get home from work, we pack up the crew and take a nice family walk around the neighborhood before eating, taking a bath and going nite, nites.

And it stretches the best hour of my day a bit longer.

Today we had PB&J for breakfast b/c by the time we ate, we'd been up for hours anyway...

Happy hump day.

teeth

November will go down as a very big month for us, I can tell already and we're not yet half way through. Food, crawling, button-pushing, and now...

Ben started to cut his first tooth today. Is that how you say it? I can feel the tooth on his bottom gums, sharp and pointy, coming through. How long does it take for the tooth to appear? When will the other one join (babies seem to always have two on the bottom in the beginning, right?)? Does it hurt him? He is doing all the things they say will happen, rubbing his ears, moving his tongue all around. But overall he doesn't seem too bothered by it.

Hubby's new camera came this week. We're celebrating with a trip to the zoo tomorrow. I can't wait.

And Ben is saying 'mom.' Not like 'good morning MOM,' more like da-da-da-grrr-grrr-mom but I'll take it.

So excited to be going to bed in 5 minutes, such a long party week. I'm old.

Little dude

It's just me and the little dude for a few days, hubby is traveling for work. It is sooo much easier than being alone when he was a newborn. Today we ran errands together, had lunch and soon are heading out for a big walk. Actually it's like having a little friend around

He is doing a lot of good standing these days. And Paula how to walk this week (holding hands of course and it is very slow going). Still no teeth but they are coming any day.

I think teeth are in our near future. No actual sign of them yet, just seeing a lot more of his gums than ever before.
